things never were the same after Nov 05...i used to look forward to relaxing at the end of the day and reading the dozen or so entries by the regulars...differing opinions were not only tolerated but encouraged...the forum was heavily moderated back then (what ever has become of the lovely Diana Hamilton?)...but we all had to go and demand our own self-moderated GD forum (careful what you wish for)

when the GD forum split from the main LMA forum last spring things were pretty quiet at first...if not for the steady contributions of Purple Gel, AshesRising, Liamfinnegan, The Bopper and a few others this forum would have surely dived into oblivia (is that a word?)

haven't been around much myself as of late...too little time to read too many posts

sorry to see you thinking of heading out darkstar92772, you were the only one here who i could discuss the Mixo-Lydian mode with...

same to you bro!

will e-mail you soon in reference to Mark Helias, how to record a tuba, etc (don't know how i could have allowed my life to get so complicated these last 3 or 4 months, but i think i'm getting better now)

p.s. - caught a brilliant young tenor player in early January at the Rex Hotel, Toronto

Kelly Jefferson (tenor sax)
Bernie Senenskie (piano)
Dave Young (bass)
Frank Botos (drums)

if you haven't already, keep your ears peeled for this kid
